Out the backdoor of the kitchen ... showing how the garden looked before I changed it ...
The park/walkway between the apartment buildings (maybe condo units is a better description as Otto owns our unit). On the right of the tree on the right is a doorway through the hedge that leads to our garden. This is on the West side of the building.
The big window is in the Living Room - the stairs lead to the kitchen ...
The garden 'in progress'... I moved the cement slabs to frame the garden below the hedge and the place the remaining pieces in the center. We are thinking about doing some raised beds but are not sure how much we want to establish before we leave for Costa Rica next summer. I did plant some leaf lettuce in the upper right quadrant that has already sprouted after only 4 days! It's continues to amaze me how growing seedlings can enhance a gardeners happiness! It's so thrilling! I also narrowed and extended the path out of the garden as per Otto's desire. The cement border pieces are too heavy for me to maneuver so Otto will replace them later.
